Honorable Knight Alfred Michael Glenn Williams serves as Procurator for Government Liaison of Mandatum, leading the Order's dialogue with governments.
Mandatum, the ORDO SUPREMUS PRO CAUSIS HUMANITARIIS, recognizes Honorable Knight Alfred Michael Glenn Williams as its Procurator for Government Liaison. In this role he is responsible for the Order's relations with governments and public institutions, building the trust that allows Mandatum's humanitarian projects to move from intention to reality.

A bridge between the Order and governments
The Procurator for Government Liaison is the Order's voice before public authorities. His task is to listen, explain and agree: to understand the needs and priorities of each country, to present Mandatum's projects clearly and transparently, and to make sure that every agreement respects local institutions.
It is patient work, made of meetings, follow-up and commitments kept over time. Without it, no project can begin; with it, the Order can work hand in hand with the authorities, sharing responsibilities and results for the benefit of the population.
The visible link of the Chancellery
Williams supports the Order's Chancellors so that they can maintain a steady dialogue with the governments of their countries. Where Mandatum does not yet have a Chancellor, he is the one who opens the door: he creates the first ties with the authorities and lays the foundations for the Order's future presence.
A tireless traveler, he carries the ideas and the voice of the General Chancellery to every place he visits, and brings back to the Chancellery the reality of each country: its needs, its priorities and its people. This constant coming and going makes him the clearest and most visible link between the Order and the governments it works with.
A polyglot at the service of dialogue
Williams is a true polyglot. His mother tongue is Dutch, and he also speaks Spanish, English and German, as well as Sranan Tongo, the common language of Suriname, and Papiamento, the language of Aruba, among other languages and dialects. This ability allows him to speak with authorities and communities in their own language, an invaluable asset for building trust across cultures.
At the head of the Mandatum Foundation
Williams also serves as Chairman and Sole Director of the Mandatum Foundation in Suriname, the institution created to carry out the Order's humanitarian, housing and environmental initiatives in the country. Through the Foundation, the Order has a local structure able to manage projects with transparency and to work closely with the communities it serves.
An honor for the Order
For Mandatum, it is an honor to count on Honorable Knight Alfred Michael Glenn Williams as Procurator for Government Liaison. With his commitment, his experience in institutional work and his dedication to Suriname, the Order's relations with governments are in good hands.
