Mastering SIRF: New Book & Exclusive ERUDI Course Launch

The world of corporate finance and large-scale infrastructure management has a new roadmap. Experts Daniel Pimas and Alexis Riera have officially announced the launch of their book: “IFRS (Integrated Financial Resource System): Strategies for Management, Integration, and Efficiency in Finance.”

What is the book about?

The work dives deep into the SIRF (Integrated Financial Resource System), a framework specifically designed to ensure the viability, liquidity, and solvency of projects operated under Project Finance and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV).

Unlike traditional accounting—which relies on the accrual principle—the SIRF approach focuses on the relentless management of actual and projected cash flow. The book serves as a comprehensive guide covering:

  • Financial Architecture: From pre-investment to project decommissioning.

  • Risk Management: Identification and mitigation of financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

  • Mathematical Engineering: Key formulas for calculating profitability (NPV/IRR), coverage ratios (DSCR), and capital structures (WACC).

  • Emerging Technologies: The impact of Blockchain, smart contracts, and ESG financing on payment transparency and automation.

Availability and Exclusive Training

The book is now available to the general public on Amazon in both English and Spanish Here .

However, the most significant news for industry professionals is the partnership with the ERUDI platform. ERUDI has secured the exclusive rights to transform the book’s insights into a dynamic learning experience, featuring:

  • Specialized Video Course: Expert-led lessons on implementing the SIRF system.

  • Detailed Infographics: Visual resources to simplify complex structures like “cash waterfalls” and “ring-fencing.”

  • Direct Book Access: Course enrollment includes a digital copy of the book for permanent reference.

Exclusive Benefit for Mandatum Members

As part of a commitment to continuous education, access to this premium course on the ERUDI platform—including the digital copy of the book—will be completely free for all Mandatum members.

This launch marks a milestone in the professionalization of financial resource management, providing developers, financiers, and managers with the tools needed to create real value and ensure the long-term sustainability of their assets.

Summit of Gratitude: San Bonifacio Class of 1990 Reaches 4,000-Meter Peak

Summit of Gratitude: San Bonifacio Class of 1990 Reaches 4,000-Meter Peak

Some milestones are measured in meters above sea level, while others are measured by the profound mark an institution leaves on its students. Recently, a group of alumni from the Class of 1990 of the San Bonifacio Technological Institute—an undisputed leader in Argentine technical education—managed to merge both dimensions in an epic expedition.

At an altitude of over 4,000 meters, where the air is thin but mental clarity sharpens, these graduates did more than simply challenge geography; they sealed a commitment to their personal and academic history.

A Tribute in the Clouds

Upon reaching the summit, the group placed the school’s crest, leaving a permanent testimony of their journey at those heights. However, the most emotional moment occurred when, facing the vastness of the landscape, they recorded a message full of affection and respect for a central figure in their lives: Professor Mario Oscar Tusiani.

As the founder and first Rector of San Bonifacio, Prof. Tusiani is a figure of international prestige, distinguished by Pope John Paul II as a Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Sylvester. This distinction, one of the highest honors granted by the Holy See to laypeople, reflects a life dedicated to education and Christian values.

The Legacy of an Educational Family

The tribute was not only for the Commander. The alumni placed special emphasis on his wife, María Palmira Ciattino. A graduate in Philosophy and Letters and former Director of the school, she has been a fundamental pillar in building the “SanBo” spirit.

“It is a display of affection that transcends decades. Seeing these men—now professionals and fathers—remembering their teachers with such devotion speaks of an education that went far beyond technical textbooks,” commented those close to the group.

Strength as a Trademark

Beyond the sentimental, the technical achievement of the expedition is undeniable. Surpassing 4,000 meters requires:

  • Human Integrity: The ability to maintain focus under conditions of exhaustion.
  • Physical Strength: Months of preparation to endure the lack of oxygen and hostile terrain.
  • Courage and Cohesion: The team spirit inherent to San Bonifacio technicians, where no one is left behind.

This ascent thus becomes a perfect metaphor for the education received: a solid foundation, constant effort, and eyes always set on excellence.

An Unbreakable Bond

This gesture unites two generations: the founders, who dreamed of a vanguard school, and the students who, 35 years after graduating, carry the name of their institution and their mentors to the continent’s peaks. The summit was reached, but the true success resides in a gratitude that, like the crest placed on the mountain top, promises to be eternal.

Editor’s Note: Knight Commander Prof. Mario Oscar Tusiani is the father of our Supreme Grand Knight.

It’s not Europe, it’s Suriname: discover the most impressive wooden cathedral in America

It’s not Europe, it’s Suriname: discover the most impressive wooden cathedral in America

The Cathedral of Paramaribo: A Wooden Jewel in the Heart of Suriname

Did you know that in the capital of Suriname you can find one of the most impressive wooden cathedrals in the world? We are talking about the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Peter and Paul, a symbol of faith, history, and architecture that you cannot miss if you visit Paramaribo.

A Giant Built of Cedar

Imagine an imposing temple, but instead of stone, it is built almost entirely with precious woods from the Amazon jungle! Using mainly cedar and other local hardwoods, this cathedral is the largest of its kind in South America and the Caribbean.

A Bit of History

Its history is fascinating. It was built between 1883 and 1885 on the site where a theater once stood. The Catholic community was growing and needed a larger space. The result was this marvel that perfectly combines Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic styles. The two towers that dominate the city skyline were completed in 1901.

A Sensory Experience

Upon entering, your eyes will not be the only ones amazed. The aroma of the red cedar will completely envelop you, creating a warm, solemn atmosphere deeply connected to the nature of Suriname. The interior, with its columns, arches, and carved capitals, will transport you to another era.

From Cathedral to Basilica

This temple is so special that in 2014 it received the title of Minor Basilica, being the fifth to receive this distinction in the entire Caribbean region. A true recognition of the faith and history of the Surinamese people.

A Place of Pilgrimage

Inside rest the remains of Father Peter Donders, a missionary who dedicated his life to caring for the sick. This makes the cathedral an important pilgrimage site for those visiting the country.

Rescued from Oblivion

At the end of the 20th century, the cathedral suffered severe deterioration from termites and the weather, even being closed for over 20 years. Thanks to an extensive restoration, since 2010 it has once again shone in its original splendor, with its façade painted in vibrant yellow and blueish-gray that contrasts with the city’s greenery.

If you plan to visit it:

  • Location: In the heart of the historic center of Paramaribo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Hours: It generally opens Monday through Friday in the mornings and afternoons, and on Saturdays and Sundays with special hours for masses.

Without a doubt, the Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul is a reflection of the soul of Suriname: warm, diverse, resilient, and of a unique beauty. Would you like to visit it?

From Data Castaways to Architects of Wisdom

From Data Castaways to Architects of Wisdom

There is a recurring anecdote among systems architects: the internet was built to connect computers, but we forgot that the ultimate purpose was to connect minds. In the sea of data we navigate today, the average user feels like a castaway surrounded by saltwater: there is abundance everywhere, but nothing to quench the thirst for real understanding. At news.emandatum.com, we were born with the premise that a news story should not be an ephemeral event that dies with a scroll, but a seed that, when connected with others, flourishes into actionable knowledge.

Our vision transcends the traditional model of digital media. We do not aspire to be just another printing press spitting out headlines to feed an attention algorithm; we aspire to be the map and the compass. We understand that information without context is merely noise, which is why we are transforming our platform into a Living Knowledge Network. This concept is based on the idea that every article, analysis, or report is a node that intertwines with others to form an ecosystem where the reader doesn’t just learn what is happening, but understands why it is happening and what impact it will have on their future.

Currently, our development labs are buzzing with projects that challenge the status quo. One of our most ambitious pillars is the implementation of Dynamic Thematic Nodes, an architecture that organizes information by its structural relevance rather than just its chronological freshness. Imagine clicking on a story about Artificial Intelligence and, instead of seeing random related notes, finding a common thread that guides you from ethical foundations to the commercial applications of tomorrow. To this, we add Emandatum Insights, our deep-analysis arm where experts and technology collaborate to break down the trends that will truly move the needle for industry and society.

But this is only the prologue to our story. The next steps on our roadmap are designed to return power to the reader through Purposeful Adaptive Personalization. We are not talking about locking you in an “echo chamber” that only shows you what you want to read, but an intelligent system that identifies your areas of interest and challenges you with complementary perspectives, fostering genuine critical thinking. We are integrating hybrid formats where audio, data visualization, and text converge to adapt to your lifestyle, ensuring that knowledge is always within reach, without friction.

The path toward a more informed society is not traveled alone. At news.emandatum.com, we are building the infrastructure, but the energy flowing through these cables is your curiosity. We are convinced that knowledge is not a private possession, but a collective fabric that grows stronger with every connection. We invite you to stop being a spectator of informational chaos and become an active node in this revolution. The future isn’t read—it’s connected.
